Black Caviar is the $1.70 favourite with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to win next week’s Manikato Stakes, despite there being doubts on whether she’ll contest the event.
Superstar colt Sepoy is next in the market at $2.20 and will start at even money or shorter should Peter Moody decide not to enter his unbeaten champion, while More Joyous is currently $3.50.
“If the mighty mare doesn’t run, Sepoy and More Joyous can raffle the Manikato between themselves,” sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane said.
“From all reports both have been electric in their recent trackwork and they should be far superior to the rest.”
Black Caviar is expected to continue her dominance of the sprinting game and is priced at just $1.40 to beat Sepoy ($5.00) in the Patinack Farm Classic on Stakes Day. Happy Zero is third in the market at $15.
